LET'S TALK ABOUT CONFIRMATION

How do you know you're supposed to do something? Forreal - how do you know?

God gave me a purpose project a while back that I've been working on for a bit (more deets coming later this year!). Recently He dropped a strategy on me that supported this assignment but was in a completely different lane than what He originally called me to do. I was not on board with it at first and was hesitant to even start to be honest. You would think God told me to do something utterly insane, but all He said was that I needed to beef up my social media.

Posting on the socials is not my game and not my lane. I rarely post on my timelines (except Twitter, because duh), so when God told me to get to posting, I said, "Excuse me, what?" He wouldn't let up on it, and I know what it costs to be disobedient, so I made a plan to get my socials all the way together (no one wants to see my college posts anymore, okay?). As a Type A that lovessss a good plan, I got really excited and began strategizing on how and what to post. It was all fun and games until it turned from planning to executing.

My launch day came, and I wasn't feeling it to be honest, but I knew I had to go through with it. I wholeheartedly knew that God was behind me, but I still wasn't down to put myself out there like that. What would people say? Would people even read the blog? Would I get Likes, Followers?

I had to remind myself that God has plans that make us uncomfortable, but our story is for His glory, not our comfort. So, I launched.

I published my first blog post and announced Meet Teesh on my Insta. Within MINUTES I saw all of these little confirmations that I knew were a co-sign from God. I saw so many posts that touched on doing what God asks of you and focusing on what He says about you, not on people's opinions. (You can check out this post from Jasmine Morris and this one from Pastor Steven Furtick as examples.) I was shook. I mean, honestly, how many accounts can post about the same topic, on the same day, at the same time? God will give you confirmation and validation when you need it most - you just have to follow-through on what He tells you to do. I have no idea where Meet Teesh will go, but I know that I have God behind me and if He is for me, who can be against me?

I challenge you this week to start whatever venture you've been putting off.

What has God been asking you to do lately? What have you always wanted to try but never gave a shot? Do me a favor right quick and START! Don't worry about people's opinions or what could happen if things don't go your way. You will never know what's on the other side of your obedience, and you'll never get there if you don't start.
